#25,148 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

Main characters: Kayne, Jett, and Ellie. Supporting characters: Javier and Mark.Ellie worked for Mark. Kayne was Marks client. Ellie was attracted to Kayne. Ellie wanted Kayne to notice her. Javier was a customer of Kayne's. Kayne owned and operated a whore house. Jett was the keeper of the slaves in the house.Written in alternating POV's. Kayne wanted Ellie to submit herself to him. Kayne caged her, collared her, and leashed her. The story was sexually driven. It was a Dom/sub story where Kayne trained Ellie to become his sex slave/kitten.Ellie quickly realized she was Kayne's captive and he was going to force her to do things with him that she once obsessed over and now hated.Ellie struggled with Kayne's form of obedience and referring to her as kitten. Ellie battled with the spankings and nudity by being disobedient which garnered more punishment. It was an obvious conundrum for Ellie considering she once dressed to seduce Kayne of her own free will. The problems I had with this story was how Kayne claimed he had to train Ellie before Javier got ahold of her. The back story for how Kayne came into BDSM was a stretch. The training became tiresome to read. The entire process of breaking Ellie down was uncomfortable. I'd don't mind reading erotic story's but when it's mixed with abuse and punishment then it's not desirable. I don't want Ellie to become broken-down with pleasure by enduring pain. I prefer consensual sex with fun kink that both participants enjoy. Sure a little encouragement to try new toys and techniques are fine but don't demean an individual by humiliating them by treating them like a pet. Kanye complimented Ellie with "good girl" for a climax she could have achieved regardless of the methods he used. This angered me. I have a problem with this statement of a kept woman, giving all the power to a man who has not earned it. This form of sex became addicting for Kayne and he created an addict out of Ellie. Building a persons tolerance level to extreme highs until all the body craves is the most powerful climax using any means necessary.I have many opinions about this story but I won't elaborate on all my personal opinions regarding this story, too many to list. I will say the execution of the story was 80%sexual and 20%storyline with the few chapters dedicated to the sought out reasons for why Kayne took Ellie to begin with. This is a series and with everything that happened to Ellie I don't have it in me to care if she forgave Kayne. This book was no different from all the other Dom/sub or Master/slave story's I've read. It was predictable in its outcome.

The book is very well written but I am giving one star because it is labeled as BDSM while depicts the abduction of a girl and her breaking until she submits. That's no BDSM. BDSM is about willingly and consensually submitting. This is some other thing, a very dangerous fetish that lately seems to be fashionable. There is nothing romantic in rape and abuse and I will not support or condone this kind of texts because they only hurt something that, when done within its terms, can be great and fulfilling. Stop the 50 shade crap everywhere, please.

OKAY....so I've never written a review before, but this book has me so conflicted I just felt compelled to write one.Read if: You're simply interested in something dark, don't mind the whole master/slave duo, and enjoy sex being the basis for an entire story.PROS: The story is well written and the sex scene are great. I'll give the author that credit. Her diction and syntax is pretty good, and her sex scenes (even though there is one on every other page), are vivid and enticing.Cons: I honestly think most of these 5 Stars comes from the sex scenes being well written because the conflict, romance, and character development in this story has major flaws. Without giving the story away, you notice some simple elements of a story is missing-- rising action...climax. etc. The routine of Ellie's day mimic the repetitious route of book: she wakes, talks with Jett, gets a bath, eats, and have sex with Kayne.That's. It. There is nothing else until you get to the very end. I caught myself skipping sex scenes because I wanted to know more about the story, but was very disappointed not to find that. The romance....there is none. 98% of this book is being trapped in the master/slave world, and so the author does not leave any space for romance to bloom--at all. Some of these review confuses me to the point where I'm questioning "did we read the same book," because they talk about how the romance between them two (Ellie and Kayne) unfolds, and that couldn't be furthest from the truth. They barely have a platonic conversation in this book, so the fact that the author attempts to introduce romance into the novel is laughable. Lastly, the character development is the most disappointing factor. The extreme lack in character development leaves the reader in a quandary. We know nothing really about the background of each character, so it's hard to "feel" anything for them involuntarily besides what we read on the page; that's why I never grew to accept or like our "hero" Kayne, just tolerate him as being a monster. Ellie on the other hand rose to the occasion of being a weak and unrealistic character. She kidnapped, sexual abused, mentally abuse, and yet she falls in love with her monster instead of detaching herself from the hell that surrounds hers; just too unrealistic for me.The ending made me even more upset. Not because of the cliffhanger, but because once you figure out who Kanye really is, his methods makes no sense at all and you're left even more confused and detached. 3 out of 5 is the best I can do.
